Joy for Ecuador and Venezuela in Americas Group II

Ecuador and Venezuela triumphed at the 2023 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Americas Group II event at the Centro Nacional de Tenis Parque del Este in Santo Domingo last week.

Both teams were unbeaten all week as they sealed their places in Americas Group I in fine style.

Ecuador overcame Paraguay 2-1 and Venezuela completed a perfect week with their 11th consecutive match-win after defeating Uruguay 2-0 in the promotion play-offs.

Bahamas and Costa Rica were relegated to Americas Group III next term after falling to Dominican Republic and Honduras respectively.
