Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Finals
 
Twelve teams will compete to win the historic Billie Jean King Cup trophy in 2024. 
 
Canada, as 2023 world champions, Italy, as 2023 runners-up, hosts Spain and wild card Czechia have qualified automatically. They will be joined by the eight winners of the 2024 Qualifiers - Australia, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and USA.
 
Round one sees four ties being contested from Tuesday 12 to Thursday 14 November, followed by the quarter-finals on 15-17 November, the semi-finals on 18-19 November, and the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup final to be played on Wednesday 20 November. 
Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers
 
The 2024 Qualifiers consist of eight ties played on a home-and-away basis, all of which are played as best-of-five matches (four singles and a doubles).
 
Winning teams progress to the Billie Jean King Cup Finals. Losing teams will compete in the Play-offs to be held in the same week as the Finals.
 
Billie Jean King Cup Play-offs
 
The Billie Jean King Cup Play-offs consist of eight ties played on a home-and-away basis, all of which will be played as best-of-five matches (four singles followed by doubles).
 
Winning nations will compete in the Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers the following year. Losing nations will compete in Group I events the following year.
 
Groups I-IV
 
Groups I-IV are divided into regions: Africa, Americas, Asia/Oceania and Europe. At Group I and II level, Europe and Africa are merged to form Europe/Africa. Group I is the highest regional division and Group IV the lowest.
 
Group events are week-long played at one location. Each Group is initially split into round-robin pools, with play-offs then deciding promotion and relegation. The exact format of each Group varies according to the number of participating teams.

Billie Jean King Cup Finals
 
All ties at the Finals will consist of three matches (two singles followed by doubles). 
 
Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers and Play-offs
 
Qualifier and Play-off ties will be played as best-of-five matches (four singles followed by doubles) over two days.
 
Group I-III
 
Ties are contested in a best-of-three matches format and are played on one day. There are two singles followed by a doubles. Due to the multi-nation format, ties take place on successive days.
