For the second successive Finals, Belgium’s charge will be spearheaded by world No. 36 Elise Mertens as they bid to top the Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge podium for the first time since 2001.

Mertens is set to be joined by Alison Van Uytvanck, Maryna Zanevska, Ysaline Bonaventure and Kirsten Flipkens when Belgium head to the Emirates Arena, Glasgow and draw swords in the women’s world cup of tennis Finals.

Belgium’s first tie of the Finals is against Slovakia on Wednesday 9 November before facing Australia 24 hours later. The 12 teams on show in Glasgow are spit into four groups – Belgium are in Group B – with the top nation in each progressing to the semi-finals.
