When is the 2022 Play-offs draw and who are the seeds?

The 2022 Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas Play-offs draw will be held at the ITF offices in London on Thursday 16 June at 14:00 local time (13:00 GMT).

The draw, which will be shown live on BillieJeanKingCup.com and the competition's social media channels, will feature 16 teams in eight home-and-away ties on 11-12 November 2022.

The teams include the losing nations from the 2022 Qualifiers in April, and the best-performing teams from the 2022 regional Group I events.  

The winning nations from the 2022 Play-offs will advance to the 2023 Qualifiers, while losing nations will compete in their respective regional Group I event in 2023. 

The eight seeded nations for the Play-offs draw are listed below, with seeds based on the latest Billie Jean King Cup Nations Ranking. Each seeded team will be drawn against an unseeded team. 

Last week, the ITF announced that the 2022 Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas Finals will take place in Glasgow, Great Britain on 8-13 November. Details of the draw for the Finals will be announced in due course.

*As the highest-ranked teams not to win promotion from Group I in 2022, Serbia and Mexico will contest the Play-offs following the suspension of the Russian and Belarusian Tennis Federations. 

**As the next highest-ranked team not to win promotion from 2022 Europe/Africa Group I, Austria replaced Great Britain, who received a wild card into the 2022 Finals.
