China, P.R. notched another 3-0 victory at the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Asia/Oceania Group I event in Changsha to further boost their charge towards the competition's Play-offs

Asia/Oceania Group I: Impressive China maintain winning streak
China, P.R. continued their impressive winning run at the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Asia/Oceania Group I event, with their latest win coming against Pacific Oceania.
 
Hanyu Guo was in dominant form as she beat Mehetia Boosie 6-0 6-2 with Zhu Lin continuing the Chinese momentum with a 6-0 6-2 win against Eleanor Schuster.
 
Gus and Lin then teamed up to complete the 3-0 win with a doubles success against Boosie and Schuster, with China, P.R. now boasting a record of 11 wins from their 12 matches played at the Group I event.
 
India have moved up to second in the standings, behind China, P.R., after a 2-1 win against Korea, Rep.
 
Rutuja Bhosale proved to be too strong for Sohyun Park, as she secured a 6-2 6-2 win, with Sujeong Jang striking back for Korea, Rep. in the second match as she beat Ankita Raina 6-2 6-3.
 
Prarthana Thombare then teamed up with Raina to secure a doubles win and put India in a strong position in the group.
 
New Zealand also took a positive step forward as they beat Chinese Taipei 2-1, with Lulu Sun's 6-1 6-2 singles win against Ya Yi Yang putting her side back into the mix ahead of the final round of matches on Saturday.
 
The top two teams in the pool will win promotion to November’s 2024 Billie Jean King Cup Play-offs, while the bottom two teams will be relegated to Asia/Oceania Group II in 2025.
