Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Finals
Twelve teams will compete to win the historic Billie Jean King Cup trophy in Seville on 7-12 November 2023.
Switzerland, as 2022 world champions, and Australia, as 2022 runners-up, qualified automatically. They will be joined by the nine winners of the 2023 Qualifiers - Canada, Czechia, France, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Slovenia, Spain and USA - and wild card Poland.
Teams are divided into four groups of three and will play in a round-robin format. The four group winners will progress to the semi-finals before the final decides which nation is crowned world champion.

Winning teams progressed to the Billie Jean King Cup Finals. Losing teams will compete in the Play-offs to be held in the same week as the Finals.
Billie Jean King Cup Play-offs
The Billie Jean King Cup Play-offs will consist of eight ties played on a home-and-away basis, all of which will be played as best-of-five matches (four singles followed by doubles).
Winning nations will compete in the Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers the following year. Losing nations will compete in Group I events the following year.
Groups I-IV
Groups I-IV are divided into regions: Africa, Americas, Asia/Oceania and Europe. At Group I and II level, Europe and Africa are merged to form Europe/Africa. Group I is the highest regional division and Group IV the lowest.
Group events are week-long played at one location. Each Group is initially split into round-robin pools, with play-offs then deciding promotion and relegation. The exact format of each Group varies according to the number of participating teams.
