Lina Gjorcheska led the hosts to victory in Europe Group III last week to book her team's place in Europe/Africa Group II in 2024.
The 28-year-old won all seven matches (five singles and two doubles) that she contested at the Tennis Club Jug in Skopje, culminating in clinching the winning point of the promotion play-off alongside Magdalena Stoilkovska to secure a 2-1 win against Armenia.
Both North Macedonia and Armenia had finished top of their groups after the round-robin stage with a perfect record, but Gjorcheska, ranked No. 246, proved the difference.
The final standings were as follows:
