USA have announced the venue for their Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas 2022 Qualifiers tie with Ukraine on April 15-16 2022, with Kathy Rinaldi leading her side back to Asheville, North Carolina for a third time.
The 18-time champions will launch their bid for a return to the 2022 Finals at the Harrah's Cherokee Center, the renamed setting for their 2018 victory over Netherlands and 2019 clash with Australia. Matches will be played on a temporary indoor hard court laid down for the tie.
USA reached the 2021 semi-finals at Prague's O2 Arena, with Danielle Collins anchoring the side past Spain and Slovakia in Group C at the Finals, before falling 2-1 to eventual champions Russian Tennis Federation in the knockout stages.
Ukraine booked their spot in the 2022 Qualifiers with a 4-0 Play-offs win over Japan after gaining promotion from Europe-Africa Group I in Estonia in February 2020.
The Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers will be played on a home-and-away basis as best-of-five ties - two singles matches on day one, reverse singles matches on day two followed by a decisive doubles.
The winners will advance to the 2022 Finals, while the beaten side with contest the 2022 Play-offs for the chance to return to the Qualifiers in 2023.
